Tulbagh is a small village
nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling mountains. The
village is steeped in Dutch history and boasts the only street
in the country where every building is National Monument. Tulbagh
is about 1 ½ hours
drive from Cape Town and there are many wine estates in the
area. Tulbagh is also a fruit producing area where
dried fruit is available all year round as well as being
the largest supplier of plums in the country. The weather
is temperate in the winter with occasional light falls of
snow on the mountains. Summers are hot and dry with
temperatures often reaching 40 degrees and above.
Your hosts at Tulbagh Guest House, Niel & Mandy
De Jager, will ensure that you have an enjoyable and relaxing
stay. |
